Group Rail Travel

Supporters who travel by train to the Addicks' away games outside Greater London can take advantage of discounted return rail fares thanks to special deals usually negotiated independently by Charlton fan Syd Cheeswright.

Fans requiring discounted fare rail tickets should call 020-8688 3916 from 7-9.30pm on Sundays to Thursdays, except during any Charlton evening game, carefully noting the information and booking deadlines below. Payment for each trip must be made at that time. No late requests or payments can be accepted.

Group rail travel will not function for the away game against Brentford on Monday, December 28th. The ground is 0.35 miles east of Brentford station. Walk south east from the station along (A3002) Boston Manor Road, take the second left into (B452) Windmill Road and then take the first right into Clifden Road. The away end (Brook Road Stand) is at the end of Clifden Road.

Those travelling by train via South London should be aware that Southern trains may be on strike that day. Brentford station, however, is served by South West Trains from Waterloo, all trains stopping at Clapham Junction. Faster trains depart Waterloo at 12.07 and then at 22, 37 and 52 minutes past the hour. The journey time is 30 minutes from Waterloo.

Return trains depart Brentford at 17.24 and 17.39, thereafter every 15 minutes. The journey time is 32 minutes to Waterloo. The off-peak adult return fare is & pound;4.70 return. Small groups, all of whom must travel together in both directions, can purchase GPS-4 or GPS-3 tickets from Waterloo for & pound;2.35 or & pound;3.10 return, per adult, respectively. Accompanied U18s can travel for & pound;1 return.

London Underground is operating a Saturday service. South Ealing station on the Piccadilly line is 0.9 miles from the ground. Alternatively, change at Acton Town from the District line. Using either route, the journey time is 28 minutes from Central London. From South Ealing, walk south along (B455) Ealing Road to the ground.

Bus route 65 passes the ground from Kingston and Express Route X26 operates every half-hour from Croydon to Kingston. Both routes are operating a Sunday service, as is Tramlink to Wimbledon station from Beckenham, Elmers End and Croydon.

For the game at Walsall on Saturday, January 2nd, trains leave Marylebone at 09.45 and 10.18, arriving Birmingham Moor Street at 11.51 and 12.34 respectively. After a seven-minute walk to Birmingham New Street, trains depart at 12.17, 12.47 and 13.17 for the 21-minute journey to Bescot Stadium station, which is situated under the M6 motorway, a few minutes' walk from the ground.

Return trains depart at 17.04 and 17.34 from Bescot Stadium station. After changing in Birmingham, the 18.12 departure from Birmingham Snow Hill arrives 20.37 at Marylebone.

The total adult group discounted return fare will be from & pound;21.50-£27, depending upon the actual number of adult passengers, who must travel together on both the outward (10.18) and return (18.12) trains. Accompanied U16s, one per adult, can travel for & pound;3.50 return. The latest date for booking is 9.30pm on Sunday, December 27th.
